Rhiana Nelson Therapist

Hello, my name is Rhiana. Welcome to RJN Therapy.

Resilience and grit are key foundations of emotional security.

When you feel emotionally secure, you’re better equipped to handle life’s challenges with confidence and stability—it’s almost like having a built-in cheat code when things get tough.

But emotional security doesn’t always come naturally.

For some, it wasn’t fully nurtured during childhood. For others, it may have been shaken by difficult life experiences.

If you’re unsure whether therapy could help, take a moment to reflect on the following:

  • Are you struggling with self-doubt?

  • Are you anxious or depressed?

  • Do you have problems forming and maintaining healthy relationships?

  • Are you looking for a change in your life but do not know where to begin?

If you have answered yes to any of the questions above,

trust that you are not alone.

At RJN Therapy, I work with various presentations including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, loneliness, and many other concerns.

I work from a curated, integrative framework, which means I draw on a combination of psychotherapeutic modalities to best serve my client’s needs.

I use existential phenomenology as a framework whilst drawing on aspects of psychodynamic theory and Gestalt practices. If you would like a more in-depth explanation of my practices, please read the FAQ section.

Therapy, whether short-term or long-term, is a commitment to the awareness of one’s self. The therapeutic process can be difficult at times, but it is a worthwhile pursuit. People are complex and so are their struggles.

I do not try to fix’ my clients, instead I aid them in their journey of self-knowledge and acceptance. The aim is to cultivate personal change that endures life’s adversities.
